NTSE Eligibility Criteria for Stage -1
1. NTSE Stage 1 is directed by State/Union Territories. An applicant must be an Indian to be qualified to show up at this level.
2. Only the class 10 understudies (and class 8 understudies likewise if there should be an occurrence of West Bengal) are qualified to show up for the test.
3. The Student must secure minimum 60% in Class 9 in the last session year.
4. The student must be studying in a recognized school in their State or Union Territory.
5. For the SC, ST and PH Category there is a 5% relaxation in marks i.e. they need minimum 55% stamps in Class 9.
6. Those who are seeking after class 10 from Open Distance Learning are additionally qualified for NTSE exam. Be that as it may, his/her age must be under 18 years as on July 1, 2018, and must not be utilized while showing up for Class 10 exam.

Stage 1: The result is expected to be declared in February and March 2018, by States and Union Territories.
Stage 2: NTSE Stage 2 will commence in May 13, 2018 and later the result is likely to be announced in July-August 2018 by NCERT.
