Documents Needed For KVPY Interview
The candidates are to carry the following documents to the interview board of the KVPY without which you will not be permitted to attend the interview.
1. Application form and Interview call letter. You can download this from the Application portal using your login data.
2. KVPY Admit card of Aptitude test.
The candidates can download the admit card for the aptitude test from the website.

The admit card will be available online in the second week of October. The Admit card will necessarily contain the following details
1. Candidate’s Roll Number
2. Name of the candidate,
3. The Exam Centre allotted,
4. The date and timings of the Exam,
5. General instruction related to the Examination, etc.
The following steps may be adhered to by the candidates to download their KVPY Admit Card.
1. Visit the KVPY 2018 Official Website.
2. Go to the ‘Useful Links' section.
3. Click on the ‘KVPY 2018 Admit Card Download’ tab.
4. Enter your ‘Application No.’, Date of Birth and ‘Submit’.
5. Click on the ‘Generate Admit Card’ tab.
6. KVPY 2018 admit card will be seen on your laptop / desktop screen.
7. You can now Download the KVPY Admit Card.
8. Original Marks card.
For the stream SA 10th Marks list and for the stream SX and SB the 12th mark list is needed.
1. Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates issued by the Competent Authority.
2. Medical certificate from the competent authority in case of physically and visually challenged students in the prescribed format as per Government of India Orders.
3. A Self-Appraisal form written by the candidates.
4. A Study certificate form. This shall have to be issued by the Principal or the Head of the Institution where the candidate is currently pursuing their studies.
5. Teacher Recommendation Form. This has to be submitted in a sealed cover. This form can be downloaded from the KVPY website and need to be filled by the teacher
6. The usual questions put forward by the interview v=board to the students are as follows.
- Can you tell me something about yourself?
- Tell more about your hobbies and interests?
- What do you think of the strongest points you possess?
- What are your weak points?
- Who are your favourite international figures?
- Who are your favourite national figures?
- Why are these figures important to you?
- What are your activities and involvement beyond academics?
- How do you plan to do the financial management with the KVPY scholarship?
- How confident are you about winning this scholarship?
- How organised are you in the daily routine?
- How good are you in time management especially in study time?
- Which is your favourite subject?
- Who is your favourite teacher?
- What would you like to become in life?
- How keen are you to serve your motherland?
- Which is your preferred topic?
- Are you comfortable with your preparation in meeting the interview board?
Notes
1. For merit list calculation 25% weight is given to interview.
2. There is separate cut off mark for general, SC/ST as well as PWD (Person with disability)
3. The interviews are likely to be held during January / February. Students will be informed about their exam dates, venue and time by email or this can be checked on KVPY website also.
4. There are in all 20 interview centres which are allotted based on the written/ online test centre of the students for KVPY exam being conducted in November.
5. All the successful candidates are required to appear in KVPY interview on their selected list of assigned centre. The interview centres cannot be changed later.
