KVPY Exam Pattern
1. Subjects – For all the three streams i.e. Stream SA, SX and SB, the curriculum subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
2. Type of Questions – The aptitude test consists of multiple choice question paper.
3. Mode of Examination - The mode of KVPY exam is online computer based test.
4. Language- The KVPY exam can be given in either Hindi or English as per student’s preferred language.
5. Exam Duration – The maximum duration of KVPY exam is 3 hours.
6. Number of Questions – The KVPY aptitude test consists of 80 multiple choice questions for SA stream whereas there are 120 questions for SB and SX stream. The question paper is divided into Part I and Part II. It is compulsory to attempt all the question in stream SA paper and in SX and SB stream, it is mandatory to attempt any three sections in part I and two sections in part II.
7. Marks - The maximum marks for the all the streams SA, SX and SB are 100 where part I questions are of 1 marks each and part II questions are of 2 marks each.
8. Marking Scheme - For all the correct answers in Part I, students would be awarded with 1 marks each and for all correct question in Part II, students would be awarded 2 marks each.
