Every year Indian Institute of Science (IISc) organizes KVPY exam to recognize the talent of students who want to pursue their career in the field of basic sciences research area. This program was started by Department of Science and Technology (DST) in 1999. The KVPY program awards fellowship to the students who qualify KVPY exam.
The KVPY exam is for students who are pursuing academics from class 11th to first year of under graduate program with basic science as their subject.
KVPY Exam Dates
The advertisement for the KVYP fellowship program usually broadcasts every year on the Technology Day and second Sunday of July in all the leading national dailies. The exam is conducted into two phases. The first phase is online aptitude test that consists of multiple choice question and holds a weightage of 75%. And the second phase is final round i.e. face to face interview which holds a weightage of 25%. Those students who qualify aptitude test are then invited for the final round. The online aptitude exam is usually conducted every year in the month of November. The final interview is conducted every year in the month of January and February. The answer keys get published after 10-12 days of the aptitude exam.
