Students can take the Digital SAT as many times as they wish, but there are usually only seven test dates available throughout the year. The majority of students take the exam twice, once at the end of their junior year and once at the start of their senior year.

As a result, The College Board has established no eligibility criteria for taking the Digital SAT exam. However, because the Digital SAT is used for admission to undergraduate programmes, individuals are advised to take it when in standard 11th or 12th.

The Digital SAT composite score spans from 400 to 1600 and is a combination of the Reading and Writing section scores (200-800) plus the Math Section score (200-800). The test lasts 2 hours and 14 minutes in total. (with pauses)

There are two options for transmitting the results to colleges: either at exam registration or after the official results have been made public. When registering for the Digital SAT exam, candidates are given four Score Reports without charge. After taking the test, candidates have nine days to send their results to universities, after which they must spend $12 to send the results to any university or programme they choose.

The Digital SAT examination costs $55 [INR 4,081]. Additionally, Indian candidates must pay a non-US regional fee of $49 [INR 3600], bringing the total exam expense for Indian nationals to $104 [INR 7700].
