Starting NEET Preparation 2025
In order to crack this exam, only hard work is not enough, you must put in some smart work and certain strategies.
To achieve the dream of becoming a doctor, parents make their child start their preparation from an early age as there is stiff competition amongst the students.
Each year several hundreds of thousands of aspirants take up the entrance exams for NEET. As you know, all the other medical entrance exams are replaced by NEET.
There are several students among them who take up entrance exam coaching so that they can prepare in a significant manner. The students in India have the option of attending physical classes for preparation.
On the contrary, the NRIs / OCIs & PIOs students, living in other countries have to depend on other sources. The online classes are specially designed for them and are conducted according to their requirements.
Preparing for NEET from a foreign country is a daunting task because of the unavailability of expert teachers with experience in the Indian education system.
The teachers in foreign countries are also not aware of the ever-changing syllabus and exam pattern of these entrance exams.

How to start preparation
First complete Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for NCERT class 11 and 12. Practicing a guidebook and study material right from the start is not recommended.
After completing NCERT books, you can go for sample papers and study materials. But remember, time management is one of the important skills that you need to develop before appearing for the NEET exam.
If you are in 11th class, you are just at the right time to start preparation. Complete the syllabus from class 11 NCERT.
And when you are in class 12, along with the study, you can try to develop skills like time management, shortcuts, etc. You can divide priority, invest 70% of your time in your school academics and 30% for NEET preparation.
Start with your weakest point. Try to focus on the topics that you’ve hated the most at starting. And try not to leave any topic behind. That will cost you a lot in the exam.
You can start covering study-materials and solve sample papers. Try to solve sample papers and problems every day if possible. Study the examples in the NCERT books carefully. Doing this will help you to relate to real-world things with concepts. You can understand the theory better with the help of examples.
But I recommend you to take a coaching class in order for you to get some exposure to the quality teachers and the style of exam patterns. For the students abroad, India, you can take an online coaching class. They will teach almost everything about how the exam works, the exam patterns, mock tests, etc.
Know the syllabus and topic weightage, do not study blindly. Here comes the tip:
For biology, NCERT is the backbone. You need to know and remember every single line and diagram. Revised NCERT biology books 3 to 5 times before the exam.
But for physics, concept clarity is the key thing. Solving problems as much as possible, only after that, you will realize the concepts.
You can also maintain a formula booklet or copy. For chemistry, it is a little complicated. You need to understand the topic deeply for organic chemistry. Practice a lot of questions. You will need to focus more on NCERT as for the inorganic chemistry.
