JEE Main 2025 Counseling:
JEE (Main) 2025 Counseling will be organized for all those candidates who have qualified the entrance exam and whose names have been shortlisted in the final merit list.
The Counseling 2025 will be organized by the NTA and CSAB (Central Board of Seat Allocation) in various stages in which the final admission is to be confirmed physically. Rest of the stages can be completed online on the official Counseling portal.
JEE (Main) 2025 Counseling will be organized for admissions in all the NITs, IIITs, State Colleges and Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.

The JEE (Main) Counseling will involve various steps which are to be completed by all the exam takers keeping the given instructions in mind. All the steps have been explained as follows:
STEP-1: Online Registration:
1. All the exam qualified candidates who want to take part in admission process have to first register themselves online for the same.
2. The online registration will be completed on the official Counseling portal of CSAB.
3. The very first step for registration for JEE (Main) Counseling will be to follow the “New Registration” link and submit the requisite information in the online form which appears on your screen.
4. This will include the personal information such as Name, Address, JEE Main Application Number and Exam Roll Number and Date of Birth etc.
5. The submitted details will be compared with the ones existing in the exam database and in case of successful match, the candidates will be allowed to proceed with the registration process.
6. Next step of JEE (Main) Counseling – Online Registration will require the submission of some other information such as personal credentials, caste and category information etc.
7. All the online registered students should carefully submit the contact information and other details so as to avoid any discrepancy and to receive all the communications timely.
8. Next, the candidates have to submit the registration fee as per the amount mentioned on the official portal via online or offline mode.
9. The candidates will be able to proceed with JEE (Main) Counseling online registration only after they have submitted the exact amount of fee.
STEP-2: Choice Filling:
1. Following the registration process, the candidates will be shown the list of all the courses and colleges which they can apply for.
2. They have to carefully choose the options for courses and colleges as per their merit and arrange them in the increasing order of their preferences.
3. The candidates will be able to change the order of filled choices as many number of times as they want till the day of final locking. Once the choices have been locked for JEE (Main) Counseling, the students will not be able to change their order any more.
4. In case a student forgets or doesn’t lock the choices, the choices filled by him/her will be locked automatically.
5. These choices can be altered after the declaration of result of each Counseling round as per the given instructions on the official website.
STEP-3: Provisional Seat Allocation:
1. On the basis of the choices of course and college filled by the candidates, their merit and the annual intake of candidates will be allocated seats (provisionally) via JEE (Main) Counseling.
2. If however, a candidate is NOT satisfied with the seat allotment, he/she can go for second round of seat allotment and see if the allocation is according to his/her choice.
3. Similarly, the candidates can join as many rounds of Counseling as are being organized by the admission authorities; but they should keep in mind that in case of joining the next round, the seat allotted in previous round will be canceled.
4. The NTA will release the details for JEE (Main) Counseling bearing complete details of the seat allocation and the details of the upgradation rounds.
5. As soon as the Counseling brochure is released, the details will be mentioned over here too.
STEP-4: Physical Reporting At The Reporting Center And Document Verification:
1. In case, candidates are satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they have to report at the reporting center mentioned on the Counseling portal and get their admission confirmed by remitting the remainder of admission fee and completing other admission modalities.
2. In this step of JEE (Main) Counseling, first of all the candidates have to go through a round of verification of their documents which will the verification of their personal credentials and hence eligibility for admissions.
3. JEE (Main) Counseling will include the seat allocation to all those candidates who bring all their documents for verification and whose documents are without any kind of discrepancy.
4. In any event of discrepancy in the documents, candidates will NOT be allotted any seat.
STEP-5: Fee Deposition And Acknowledging The Allotment:
1. After the document verification round is over, candidates have to submit their admission fee as per the amount mentioned in the admission brochure.
2. The fee is to be submitted via DD as per the specifications mentioned therein.
3. Once the fee is submitted and all the other admission modalities are over, candidates will be given the acknowledgement for admission via JEE (Main) 4. 4. Counseling and they have to report at the allotted college as per the date and time mentioned.
