Is it possible for an IB student to crack JEE Main? Well, the short answer to this question is Absolutely yes! The long answer on the other hand is it’s a big challenge. JEE Main / Advanced is not quite easy to crack, especially for an Indian, NRI, OCI, PIO & International IB student. The JEE is based on Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum and more. IB does not cover a very vast range of syllabus and depth in comparison to CBSE.

But it’s okay, with extra preparation you can 100% crack JEE.

First let’s look at the Eligibility criteria for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main.

Eligibility criteria for JEE Main

• Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2022 or 2023.

• No age limit to appear for JEE Main 2024 exam.

• Students can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. 

• Minimum 75% in aggregate

For BE/B.tech – Maths and Physics are compulsory

For B. Arch – Maths, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory

For B. Plan – Math is compulsory
